Implantation Protocol

Implantation Protocol

Description

Implantation failure is often considered when a couple has gone through IVF cycles with healthy embryos that “don’t take” or if a woman has a positive pregnancy test but it only stays positive for a week or less. Another term for implantation failure is chemical pregnancy… the Egg and Sperm connected, but the pregnancy didn’t progress.

This is sometimes confused with pregnancy loss, but it’s important to consider that pregnancy loss (week 7 and beyond) is different from chemical pregnancy in its early stages.

In the Implantation Protocol, we want to support uterine lining thickness, optimize blood flow and circulation to the uterus and ovaries, and support healthy egg and sperm health.

The goal of this protocol is to consider and address all of the factors of implantation failure. In addition to this protocol, we highly suggest testing the vaginal microbiome — dysbiosis has recently been researched to be a leading reason in implantation failure. Since this requires testing, we can connect you with a specialized practitioner who can support you in testing and addressing vaginal dysbiosis.

This protocol should be paired with a thorough workup of the vaginal microbiome.
